Clean water for God's thirsty children
The WWB Water Woman Prayer Ministry
A special COVID-19 response
Water Women need our prayers.

Every one of them lives in the very challenging conditions of poverty, with all that implies. Their daily lives, even with clean water, are still a constant struggle.

And every one of them has promised to serve her neighbors by filtering water for them. That’s a tremendous commitment that requires a generous spirit... and, no doubt, a lot of patience.

Now, with the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have even more cause to pray for these mothers, their families, and their communities. The great majority of them have little or no access to healthcare.

We always promise the Water Women of Water With Blessings that we will be praying for them, and so we do at the start of each work day at our Middletown, Kentucky, headquarters.

We offer a share in this ministry in hopes that you will add your prayers to ours.

Any prayer, in any style, from any faith, is welcome, or you can pray the simple prayer on this newsletter.

God's thirsty children need Sustainers: friends who support
our mission on a monthly basis.
$12.50 each month will equip and train 2 Water Women each year. That makes a total of eight families drinking clean water!
The River of
Life-Giving Water
Water, both real and symbolic, appears throughout the scriptures. But one of the most beautiful images comes at the end of the Bible, in the Book of Revelation.

The angel shows the writer the river of life-giving water, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God down through the middle of streets. On either side grow the trees of life which bear fruit every month, and whose leaves serve as medicine for the nations.

This time of disease has led to great loss. The loss of life is the most obvious; but the loss of jobs and financial security has hit many people in the US and around the world. In the areas served by Water With Blessings, where high-quality food and medicine were already scarce, people are even more vulnerable.

So we pray together, for one another, that God's life-giving water will flow into our world, cleansing our cities and and increasing the trees of life.

And may those trees bear fruit to nourish God's people, and the leaves bring forth the medicine to heal the sick.
The CARES Act includes tax incentives to encourage charitable giving

$300 per person ($600 per married couple) reduction in taxable income on your 2020 tax return for donors who do not itemize their tax deductions (those taking the standard deduction).

All taxpayers are eligible to take this deduction , unlike the standard charitable contribution deduction which provides a tax benefit only to taxpayers who itemize their deductions. (The new deduction would not apply to non-cash gifts or to gifts contributed to donor advised funds.)

For individuals who do itemize their tax deductions, the limit on deductions for contributions, ordinarily 50% of adjusted gross income (AGI) or 60% for cash, is suspended for 2020.

For corporations, the limit on deductions for contributions, ordinarily 10% of AGI, is elevated to 20% for 2020.
