Best Week Ever
ESMS 7th Grade ELA Teacher Gina Calvin won the Regional Teacher of the Year Award! MO DESE recognizes only 34 teachers out of approximately 66 thousand in the stat each year with regional accolades! This year, Ms. Calvin was one of only six to receive the honor from the Kansas City region!

The ES Animal Clinic announced this week that they would be moving to their new location at 1740 US Hwy 69 (formerly Annie's Furniture) and will plan to reopen on Tuesday, July 13th at 8:00am!

The pool at the Community Center has been closed because it was hit by lightning in a storm!
A Royal Collapse
June couldn't leave without hitting the town one more time with bad luck when there was a partial collapse of the Royal Hotel. Why we weren't surprised, it's still disappointing to see. Citizens have been sharing their feelings on the building all week.

The City of Excelsior Springs has been busy with an overlay project extending from Dunbar all the way to West Jesse James! Here's an interview with Public Works Director Chad Birdsong to give us a behind the scenes look at what is taking place!
