Hello, Map Friends!
The splendid month of September is upon us. We thought it would be lovely to celebrate the beginning of the season most beloved in New England with a newsletter featuring an Ode to Autumn.

The selection includes maps and prints with a September or Autumn theme. We hope you will enjoy!

We expect our next newsletter- at the end of the month- will feature many new items, including maps by Morden, Homann, Boules, and others!

You can always visit our Newly Listed Maps section to see everything from the past month or so. We have a Great Maps - Super Deals category that offers our discounted items. And don't forget that we also have a category specifically for maps under $100!

If you are looking for something specific, we recommend using the search function or the "Filter By" function on the left side above the listings to search within a category.

New England Maps
We may be biased, but we think there is no place like New England in Autumn! We have many wonderful maps of New England at many different ages and price points. Our town maps for towns in New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut often have the property owners names listed, which is a treat for anyone interested in the history of their old house, or anyone looking for an ancestor's name!
Apple Picking
Is there an Autumn activity that is more celebrated than apple picking? There is nothing quite like biting into a juicy apple while standing in a sunny orchard with the warm sweet scent of the harvest around you. Perhaps the farm you visit will have additional attractions, like animals and other produce!
The Stars in September
Star-gazing on a cool September night with a cup of hot cocoa and a blanket sounds divine, don't you think? If you are interested in the geography of the heavens, we have some constellation maps you are sure to love.
Sometimes customers wonder why their zodiac sign constellation isn't on the print with their birth month... well, as the Earth moves around the Sun in its orbit, each of the Zodiacal constellations will be hidden ‘behind’ the Sun at some point during the year. Whatever constellation is hidden behind the Sun at the time of your birth is known as your star sign. That is why it wouldn't be on these maps- it is behind the sun!
September Sports
The Fall is also the beginning of many sports seasons. It's a beautiful time to be outdoors, whether you are golfing, hiking, or cheering at a child's soccer game. Or perhaps, like the ladies in the lower print, you will be part of the Lenox Tub Parade (it was revived in 1976 and held regularly since 1997!).
