In The News

DECEMBER 2025

December reminds us that care is not just seasonal, it's sacred. And because of you, justice-impacted women and families across the country continue to experience safety, dignity, and the power of new beginnings.

This season, we are reminded that healing does not happen alone. It happens in community: through warm meals, open doors, gentle care, and people who choose to show up.

To every supporter, partner, volunteer, and woman who trusted us with her story this year: thank you. Your belief in second chances is helping us build a future rooted in compassion, justice, and freedom.

May this season bring rest where it’s been heavy, light where it’s been dark, and hope where it’s been waiting.

CARE BEHIND THE WALLS:

TGK MIAMI JAIL VISIT

This month, our team brought care behind the walls with our first-ever Beauty Day at the Turner Guilford Knight (TGK) Miami Jail Facility, creating a moment of joy, dignity, and human connection in a place where those things are too often denied. The LOHM employees including our CEO gave manicures, pedicures, facials and neck massages.

Through wellness, self-care, and community, we reminded the women inside that they are seen, valued, and worthy of care — not later, not someday, but right now.

This is what healing-centered justice looks like in action.

We’re deeply grateful to the TGK staff for their partnership and openness, and to our incredible team for leading with heart. And this is just the beginning, more Beauty Days are on the way.

FOWI HEALING HUB

APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN

We are excited to announce that Faces of Women Imprisoned (FOWI) is recruiting for our upcoming Healing Hub cohort.

The Healing Hub is a safe, supportive space designed for justice-impacted women to:

  • Process lived experiences
  • Engage in healing-centered storytelling
  • Build community and leadership skills
  • Prepare for speaking, writing, and advocacy opportunities

If you or someone you know is a justice-impacted woman ready to heal, grow, and use her voice, we invite you to apply. This cohort starts February 3, 2026.

CONGRATS TO THE

2025 P4E GRADUATES!

This fall, we are proud to celebrate an extraordinary group of women who completed Pathways 4 Equity (P4E) — The LOHM’s career-ready fellowship designed to unlock economic opportunity for justice-impacted women through digital skills training, professional development, and paid, real-world experience.

Over the course of the program, these women showed up with courage, commitment, and vision — building skills, sharpening confidence, and preparing for careers that offer stability, growth, and family-supporting wages. Pathways 4 Equity is about more than workforce training; it’s about restoring access, dignity, and possibility.
