A look back at 2025

This year brought many challenges, but also proved yet again how our Capital District community comes together to support local food pantries and the neighbors they serve. As pantry shelves emptied during the SNAP Withholding Crisis, our community stepped in with donations and volunteer hours to make sure pantries were replenished and ready to serve again. Thank you to our coalition of 75 food pantries for showing such dedication and determination to meet the needs of our community - and thank you to the many individuals and partners who showed how resilient we are when we work together. As we close out the year, we’re taking a moment to appreciate everything our community helped us accomplish. Wishing everyone happy holidays and a happy New Year!

Mission Moment

We’re grateful to the Capital District Area Labor Federation for presenting Natasha Pernicka with the Solidarity Award. Thank you for your continued support and your commitment to our region.

Thank you to our coalition food pantries, staff, and volunteers!

December is busy, but our coalition, staff and volunteers keep showing up with generosity and dedication. From donating their time to organizing food and fund drives, to contributing resources that support partner pantries, their efforts make a real difference in keeping our network strong. We are grateful for every hour and every contribution.

Special thank you for recent food and fund drives from: CANstruction teams, Capital District Cannabis & Wellness, Carver Companies, CDPHP, Community Resource FCU, Glenmont Job Corps Center, Montessori Magnet School, MVP, Northeast Institute of Gymnastics, NYS Dept of Agriculture & Markets, Peregrine Senior Living, The Rosenblum Companies, Phi Sigma Rho (University at Albany), Siena University, The Wadsworth Center, Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP, and many more!
