some of you know, this Saturday is the first ever Small Business
Saturday, a day to support the small businesses in your community.
Small businesses are the foundation of our economy - producing many
more jobs per year than "big" business does. Believe me when I say
that small businesses have been suffering in this economy. We've
all seen empty store fronts opening up in Wicker Park and had one
(or more!) of our favorite businesses disappear. PLEASE support
your local businesses this holiday season. Shopping at local
businesses is an easy way you can help our country's economy, AND
your local community's economy. You can make a difference! (Check

Photos
With Santa!
The stockings have been hung, the lights
have been lit - and the chimney is shaking because Santa is here!
Bring your pet to Doggy Style for photos with Santa on
Saturday, December 4th from 12pm-4pm! For a $10 donation
to ALIVE Rescue and Sanctuary, we'll print out a great pic of your pet
with Santa while you wait. AND we'll email you electronic copies
of all your pets' best shots! To reserve a slot for photos with
Santa, call 773-235-9663 or email us. Walk-ins are welcome!

| Giving Love to Those We've
Lost...
As many of you know, our incredible kitty -
Neil Patrick Harris - passed away in November and we've been
looking for a way to honor him and all of his awesomeness.
TreeHouse Humane Society is a no-kill shelter that focuses on
Chicago's kitties. TreeHouse also operates a low-cost spay/neuter
clinic for dog and cats (including a trap-neuter-release program
for ferals!) and a Pet Food Pantry that assists
low-income households in feeding their loved pet.
We've decided to make two gifts to TreeHouse
in honor of Neil Patrick Harris and our other loved furry friends
from the Doggy Style family who have passed on this year. First,
Doggy Style Pet Shop will be donating $500 in NPH's name to the Lights of Love Campaign. That
means 50 CANDLES will be lit in his name at their Lights of Love
celebration on December 11th. (We'll be asking that our donation
be used specifically for senior and special-needs pets in need of
homes! Because Neil was both...) In addition, we'll be donating
as much dog and cat food as we can to the TreeHouse Pet Food Pantry
at the end of the year.
What can you do? If you'd
like to memorialize Neil Patrick or any other beloved pet who has
passed on, just CLICK HERE. A $10 donation to
TreeHouse will mean a candle will be lit for your special
friend.
OR stop into Doggy Style
Pet Shop and donate some dog or cat food in our donation bucket at
the front of the store. We'll be dropping donations off at the end
of December!
