The Compass to Compassion is an e-newsletter designed to keep you informed on the direction of Arkansas Hospice. By supporting our mission, you are navigating a path to compassion for our patients and families. With The Compass, we can connect our donors, volunteers, employees, and everyone who takes part in our mission. Thank you for joining us on the journey!
A Season of Giving and Gratitude is Coming!
From Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, 2021, Arkansas Hospice will celebrate its first ever Season of Giving to recognize the many Days of Awareness that are observed in November and December.

With November being National Hospice and Palliative Care Month, we will launch the initiative on Nov. 1 with Arkansas Hospice's own Day of Giving, a 24-hour day of giving and gratitude to support our mission.

Living Out Loud
One common myth about hospice care is that it's only for the elderly. Arkansas Hospice actually cares for patients of all ages, including children. That's why when we found out one of our patients wanted an afternoon of arcade fun for him and a friend, we went to work to make that happen.

"He desired to spend time with a friend of his, enjoy himself and be with others, to have a moment where he can still be with others and enjoy his time," stated Kathy Malina. His mother added, "We just want him to live out whatever he can right now and just enjoy life. Life is really short."
