October is sometimes referred to as the “month of renewal.” Last month, we focused on making self-care a priority and reflecting on what we have learned over the last six months. Just as the trees are letting go of their leaves, what you let go of now nourishes what you manifest later.
“To rest is to rust. With a flaming aspiration push forward. Every day must show that you have taken one more step more upon the path. Progress is not counted in numbers of days that have passes in practice. It lies in how far you have outgrown your former ways of thinking and living. What is the extent of your victory over external environments? Do you maintain a calm and balanced mind? Do you remain unaffected by little annoyances and irritations? Are you ready to forgive and less to offend? Has your aspiration grown stronger?” —- Sivananda
In this next month, how can you “renew?” What steps will you take upon your path? Can you let go of a former way of thinking and continue to develop your journey? Turn to your practice and continue the path.
