A Simple Ask From Our Founder

As many of you know, Minnie's Food Pantry has been serving the Plano community for over 12 years and to date has provided over 14 million meals to families in need of food assistance

Our namesake, my mother, Dr. Minnie Hawthorne-Ewing was a Pastor and Servant Leader. She loved the idea of changing someone's life through a healthy meal, hug or a huge smile and she did it during her lifetime.

When you think of hunger in our community the name Minnie's immediately comes to mind and residents of Plano have supported the idea and concept that no child or parent should go to bed hungry. With that in mind, over 20,000 volunteers have served at Minnie's Food Pantry and hundreds of thousands of people have walked the red carpet that is rolled out for them so they can receive a healthy meal.

Minnie Hawthorne-Ewing would have been 75 this year and we would like to honor her name and ensure her legacy for years to come. The new Minnie's Food Pantry is located on 18th Street in Plano, Texas and we believe that a person named Minnie should replace a number on that sign.

We pray that you will agree with us as we continue to celebrate the legacy of one incredible Plano resident and community activist and take five seconds to sign the petition below to make Minnie's Way a permanent mark in our Plano community.

We celebrate your decision in advance,

Dr. Cheryl Jackson, Founder
