"For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven."

Ecclesiastes 3:1

Dear Paul,

We have a very important recommendation to share with you. Yesterday, Rita and I went to an AMC Theater (for the first time in years!) to see the recently released film The Forge.

We will refrain from giving anything away, but in our humble opinions, this film is a must-see activity for everyone we know – including spouses, children, family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and anyone else who needs a very positive, up-lifting experience in their life today. From our perspective, this story touches on practical issues that we all currently encounter, including integrity, accountability, forgiveness, hard work, relationships, respect, consideration of others, true mentorship, personal growth, the power of prayer, and ultimately, salvation and restoration.

Our challenge to you is to GO and SEE. This movie is far more than just great entertainment. It is a wonderful opportunity for people to get inspired, energized, and built up – it is never too late for a life-changing experience. Please don’t procrastinate – go and see it while it is available at a theater near you. Don't forget to take someone special with you!

  • If you are a pastor or ministry leader: may I humbly request that you introduce this film to your congregation or group – and encourage them to attend.
  • If you are a business owner or employee: please share this with your supervisors and co-workers – they will thank you later.
  • If you are a leader, coach, or member of a small group, a work or sports team, or any similar group: may I propose that attending this movie would be an awesome group outing, especially when followed by a sincere discussion about how these principles could apply in everyone's life.
  • If you are a parent: invite or take your children and grandchildren, your siblings, your parents, and other family members to share in this experience with you – then watch strained relationships transform from where they are now to a much better place.

Warning: perhaps you have the voice of deception whispering (or screaming) in your ear that you don’t need to invest your time or money on a religious film.

However, the TRUTH is this film is about relationships (not religion) – day-to-day relations between you and all of those people within your circle of influence. It is for your benefit to consider how things could be healthier or restored. You owe it to yourself to go and see – I know you won’t be disappointed!

Side benefit: the message in the final minutes of this movie regarding practical application of discipleship is absolutely phenomenal! Plus, it accurately describes one of the central focus topics that we have been teaching for several years on our international missions trips as well as to congregations here in America! Just thought you might like to know.

We pray for God’s blessings and favor for you, your family, and those who will share this wonderful experience!
