Dear Church,

One of our frequently asked questions is, "How should I give for the Generations Project?"  We continue to hear stories about God helping people arrive at their commitment as they pray, "What's my part?" Daily, we're praying with you as you seek God's guidance.

We're with you!  Kim and I have prayed through our commitment, and it's a step of faith. We've made many of these commitments in the past, and many (including this one) have been overwhelming at first. However, God has always blessed our obedience, and I've never regretted giving sacrificially to prepare my church for the future. I hope you'll join me in that commitment.

As we prepare for our Generations Commitment Day this Sunday, the most important thing to consider is that this commitment is between you and the Lord.  The amount will be different for everyone. Some might decide to delay a purchase, such as a car, so that they can give that amount. Others may trade a weekly restaurant visit for a family-made dinner at home. Some will choose to increase their giving by a percentage or give up something that they own, such as appreciated stock, a boat, or another asset ( read more about giving options here ). These are examples, but the answer must come from your time with the Lord. Let Him guide you and trust Him to provide.

As you are praying through your gift, consider how you'll be a part of shaping the future.  We're grateful that the sacrifices of others influenced people like  Josh Offill  and  Greg Garcia . Now, there are children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and beyond that will reap the blessings of our sacrifice during this season. Join me in praying for these generations—and in reaching them for Christ!

10,000 Blessings,

John Meador,
Lead Pastor
