A Letter from the UWBR Executive Committee
As the pandemic continues to put a strain on our community, we’re seeing a continued surge in need for things like food, housing and utility assistance. Neighbors in our community are struggling and calls to United Way’s 211 helpline have more than tripled. While we’re doing our best to keep up, current dollars just aren’t meeting the demand, and we need your help.
Please, GIVE today – in any way you can. You can help ensure crucial health and human services are available into 2021 and beyond. Donations of every size make a difference and help get us one step closer to the $2.4 million community campaign goal. To see the full list of 50+ programs in our community currently funded by your generosity, please visit LiveUnitedBR.org and click on “our partners.”
Rest assured, your dollars stay local and decisions on how to target resources to meet the greatest needs are all driven and determined by volunteers. We conduct due diligence for our donors on what programs are the most efficient, effective and impactful. We hold ourselves and our partners accountable for results, and we’re tremendously proud of how hard we’ve fought for the health, education and financial stability of every person in the Blackhawk Region in 2020. Highlights of our work are included on reverse side for your reference.
Fortunately, we do not do this work alone. Please join us as we fight for our neighbors, our community, and our tomorrow.
Wishing you health and happiness this holiday season.
Gratefully,
UWBR Executive Committee
