Dear friends,

As another unprecedented year comes to a close, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for helping us navigate through it.

This year, like last, had many twists and turns along the way, but just like last year, I never once doubted our ENF team’s ability to get through it. I never once doubted our ability to continue to provide our programs to the hundreds of families who rely on us to get them to their children’s’ medical treatments and help them during their most difficult days. I never once doubted any of this because I know what our ENF team is made of.

Because of their determination, grit, and dedication to our mission, we increased the number of families we serve in both San Diego and Orange Counties. We traveled nearly 100,000 miles, transporting children to and from their cancer treatments through our Ride With Emilio Program. We delivered more than 2,600 Emilio’s Snack Bags to children after a grueling chemo treatment. We reopened our Resource Center in Rady Children’s Hospital and began serving families with a newly opened Resource Center in Children’s Hospital Orange County. We provided Christmas gifts to 100 families (representing more than 500 people) through our Holiday Adopt-A-Family program. And earlier this month we hired our very first LA driver and began serving children with cancer at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (more news to come on this in 2022). I cannot tell you how proud I am of this outstanding team of warriors. It is an honor and a joy to work alongside each one of them every single day.

Of course, we would not have been able to do this without the support of you, our wonderful donors and volunteers. The support that you provide all year long ensures we can continue to provide our life-saving programs to the children we serve.

As you begin to make your end of year donations, please consider supporting the Emilio Nares Foundation and help us continue to serve these families who, without our services, would not be able to get their children to their cancer treatments. All funds raised directly support our ability to provide safe, reliable transportation and our other vital programs to children battling cancer.

I wish you all a safe, healthy, and joyful holiday season and a happy new year. Thank you for continuing to give the gift of hope all year long.

Kindest regards,

Karen
