Meet One of Your Guides:
A Pathway to Understanding Genetics and How They Relate to Health, Cancer, and Treatment

Our Seattle Pathways event will provide a wide range of prostate cancer educational content and will feature a presentation on genetics led by Katie Stoll, Executive Director at Genetic Support Foundation. Katie says, "We know that in some families, genetic factors play a role in the risk for prostate and other cancers. My goal is to provide information, support, and guidance to patients and their family members regarding inherited risk factors for disease. Genetic counseling can help people understand how their personal and family history, as well as genetic factors, play a role in one’s own health as well as that of their relatives. This can help guide care towards cancer prevention, early detection and, in some cases, personalized treatment."
