Meet One of Your Guides:
A Pathway to Understanding Treatment Options, Side Effects and Lifestyle

Our Seattle Pathways event will provide a wide range of prostate cancer educational content and will feature a presentation on "Treatment Options, Side Effects and Lifestyle " by Dr. Brian D. Lawenda, Radiation Oncologist at Northwest Cancer Clinic and 21st Century Oncology. Dr. Lawenda says, "Prostate cancer is the second most prevalent form of cancer in men after skin cancer. One in six American men will have prostate cancer during his lifetime. My passion is to inform, educate, and raise awareness about health risks, environmental factors, and lifestyle modifications that will empower patients with the knowledge necessary to advocate for their health. As a radiation oncologist and integrative oncologist I have the unique ability to combine state-of-the-art radiation treatments with evidence-based natural and complementary therapies, dietary and lifestyle counseling and functional medicine. My focus is on patient quality of life, implementing short course, high precision radiation treatments and technologies coupled with counseling patients on lifestyle and complementary therapies to help reduce treatment side effects and hopefully improve cancer outcomes.”
