Update on COVID-19 From Our Firm
In these trying times, we hope that all of you and your families are keeping safe. With all the uncertainty in the world, the health and well-being of our clients and staff are our top priority. We are taking all necessary precautions as advised by the authorities.

Our firm is working remotely. The courts are limiting operations to essential functions. All other hearings are being continued until people can safely go to court.

For the near future, family law orders may be difficult to obtain unless there is an emergency. When the courts resume normal operations, there will be a massive backlog of work.

Matters involving private judges may go forward by video or telephone conferences per agreement of the parties and counsel.
Congratulations to
New Equity Partner Steven K. Yoda &
Partner Christina E. Djordjevich
We are pleased to announce that partner Steven K. Yoda has been elevated to equity partnership. Steve joined Walzer Melcher in 2015 after practicing as a commercial litigator for over 10 years. Since joining the firm, Steve has represented numerous clients in complex family law matters. Steve recently passed the Certified Family Law Specialist examination.

In his spare time, Steve enjoys good food and drink. Recently, Steve has been exploring the beauty and nuance of rye whiskey. To combat the resultant empty calories, Steve has subjected himself to the pain of F45 fitness.
We are pleased to announce that Christina E. Djordjevich has been elevated to partnership. Chrissy has been with the firm since 2018. Prior to joining Walzer Melcher , Chrissy was an associate at a leading New York City family law firm for five years.

A native Angeleno, Chrissy is thrilled to be back in California after many years of harsh New York winters. She is a lifelong fan of Saturday Night Live
(notwithstanding some
questionable seasons), and has vast knowledge of sketches both past and present.
