The Williamsville Central School District is committed to educational excellence that empowers all students to develop their unique potential and thrive as learners, citizens, and leaders in a diverse, global community.

The world has transformed. Society, technology, and workforce demands are unrecognizable compared to just a few decades ago. In an effort to adjust to today’s demands, the New York State Education Department adopted the Portrait of a Graduate Framework, which is defined by six core competencies:

  • Academically Prepared
  • Creative Innovator
  • Critical Thinker
  • Effective Communicator
  • Global Citizen
  • Reflective and Future-Focused

Much of the work happening throughout the District aligns with this framework. To help inform the school community, the Office of Communications, in partnership with the Office of Professional Learning, developed the Portrait of a Graduate Speaker Series.

This six-part video series provides insight into the District's commitment to student success and the transformative learning experiences in the classroom that prepare them for their post-secondary educational journey.

Adopt-a-Family

At any given time, Say Yes Buffalo's team supports around 300 families whose children have been identified by their schools as needing help. This spans the gamut of homelessness, basic needs (food, clothing, shelter), physical and behavioral health concerns, and out-of-home placement, among others.

Every year around the holidays, their team works with a growing network of individuals, organizations, and businesses to provide families with gifts.

Scholarship Funds

Say Yes Buffalo is always accepting investments in the future of our community in the form of donations to the scholarship endowment funds for Say Yes Buffalo and Say Yes Niagara Falls.
