Join us for an afternoon EXCURSION to the wonderful DELAWARE ART MUSEUM in Wilmington. The Museum was founded in 1912 as the WILMINGTON SOCIETY OF FINE ARTS when they acquired 100 paintings and drawings by acclaimed illustrator Howard Pyle.
WATER WILLOW 1871 Dante Gabriel Rossetti: (British Pre-Raphaelite Painter, 1828-1882), oil on canvas, Samuel and Mary R. Bancroft Memorial

Their holdings were expanded in 1931 when the estate of Samuel Bancroft donated his significant collection of English Pre-Raphaelite paintings and manuscripts, including works by Dante Gabriel Rossetti, John Everett Millais and more. In addition, a rich array of 19th and 20th century American Art is on view as well as the splendid COPELAND SCULPTURE GARDEN on the lush grounds of the museum.

Before our visit we will stop for a quick lunch on your own at DECO, a contemporary food hall beneath the historic HOTEL DUPONT.
