SWEET SUCCESS

Swift Sale in Falls Church - 6609 Rockmont Ct

We’re thrilled to share another staging success story — this time from 6609 Rockmont Court, a stunning new construction in Falls Church that went under contract in just 20 days after staging.

This beautiful transitional-style home, built in 2025 by Focal Point Homes, sits at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and offers nearly 7,650 square feet of luxurious living space on a 0.37-acre lot. Featuring six bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, and expansive common areas, the property was thoughtfully designed with today’s lifestyle in mind.

Inside this exceptional property, every space was thoughtfully designed and staged to highlight both luxury and livability. On the main level, the open living areas immediately draw you in with striking 10-foot ceilings and warm, wide-plank white oak flooring that runs throughout.

The spacious main gathering area creates a natural flow from room to room, making it ideal for entertaining or relaxed everyday living. Whether it’s a lively holiday party or a quiet evening at home, buyers could instantly see themselves enjoying this versatile space.

At the heart of the home sits the chef’s kitchen, featuring top-tier Wolf, Sub-Zero, and Cove appliances and a dramatic 12-foot Calacatta Abezzo quartz island — a dream for both cooking and casual conversation. Thoughtfully chosen finishes and staging here helped accentuate the generous counter space and high-end design, inviting buyers to picture both everyday breakfasts and large-scale entertaining around this centerpiece.

Adjacent to the kitchen, the formal dining area was styled to showcase how family dinners and special occasions come to life here, while nearby living spaces were arranged to emphasize comfort without sacrificing elegance. Large windows flood the rooms with natural light, which our staging highlighted with light, layered textiles and tasteful accents that reinforced the home’s transitional aesthetic.

A dedicated home office on the main level added even more appeal, especially for today’s buyers who value flexible work-from-home space. Thoughtfully staged to feel both productive and inviting, the office showcased how easily the room could support focused work, virtual meetings, or quiet study.

The main level suite was another standout, offering a private retreat for guests or family members who prefer single-level living. Designed to feel welcoming and timeless, the room’s layout and staged elements underscored a sense of both comfort and sophistication.

Upstairs, the primary bedroom suite felt like a true retreat. Generously sized and filled with natural light, the room was staged to highlight both comfort and sophistication. The ensuite bath continued that spa-like feel, with its clean lines, luxe finishes, and thoughtful layout reinforcing the sense of everyday luxury.

Outside, the covered porch overlooking the private backyard was styled to feel like an extension of the indoor living space — perfect for cool autumn mornings, summer evenings, or weekend gatherings. This thoughtful connection between indoor comfort and outdoor enjoyment helped buyers see the full lifestyle this home offers.

Lead Stager Rebecca shared her design insight:

6609 Rockmont Ct had such thoughtful architectural details, and I really wanted to highlight the builder’s finish selections throughout the space. We paired wood-tone furnishings to pick up the wood panels in the ceiling, coordinated colors with the wallpaper, and even chose lamps and accessories that echoed the shape of the dining room chandelier. It was all about enhancing what was already beautiful and creating a cohesive, inviting feel.”

Buyers responded — quickly. The home drew strong interest right away, and the staging helped bring out the personality and potential of every room, making it easy for them to see not just a house, but a future home.

Trick of the Trades

Holiday Decorating Without Hurting Your Listing Photos

Decorating for the holidays can make a home feel warm and welcoming—but when a property is on the market, it’s important to strike the right balance. Overdecorating or choosing bold seasonal pieces can distract buyers and take attention away from the home itself, especially in listing photos where first impressions matter most.

Our rule of thumb? Keep it subtle, neutral, and intentional.

Holiday Styling: Do’s & Don’ts

DO

  • Keep décor neutral and minimal (greens, whites, soft metallics)
  • Use subtle touches like wreaths, garland, or simple tabletop accents
  • Choose warm white lighting for a cozy, photo-friendly glow
  • Make sure windows, walkways, and focal points stay visible
  • Think “seasonal hint,” not full holiday takeover

DON’T

  • Overdecorate or crowd rooms with large seasonal items
  • Use bold colors, loud themes, or novelty décor that distracts buyers
  • Block fireplaces, staircases, or architectural features
  • Hang temporary décor in ways that could damage walls or finishes
  • Forget that listing photos live online long after the holidays pass
