JCCB Hosts 1st Christmas In July!

What a heartwarming day it was at JCCB's 1st Christmas In July Community Event! Our dedicated volunteers and generous supporters came together to sprinkle a little magic in the lives of about 200 residents. From the lunch, popcorn, and sno-cones to the laughter echoing from the bounce house and face painting, every moment was enjoyable! One volunteer shared, "Seeing the kids’ faces light up made every effort worth it!"

A huge shout-out to our wonderful sponsors like Farmers Insurance, who provided a grant and also brought along the CAT Bus and helpful volunteers. We are grateful to Truity Credit Union for their donations, food truck and fun games, as well as the Johnson County Library, Just Between Friends, Happy Bottoms and Merriam Christian Church for their invaluable contributions. Let’s not forget our local heroes from the Merriam Fire and Police Departments who joined in the festivities! We couldn't have made such an impact without our passionate JCCB volunteers and team leads. So, let’s keep the holiday spirit alive! Your support can make a world of difference for local families facing tough times—together, we can turn challenges into cheer!

Warmth and kindness spread as our volunteers crafted quilts and coats for families.These ladies rolled up their sleeves and stitched together warmth by collecting cozy coats and crafting beautiful blankets for families in need. Their generous contributions are like a warm hug on a chilly day, making our community shine even brighter!

Adult Department Gift Drive

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Church of the Nativity for their incredibly generous $5,000 donation to our Adult Gift Department! Your support is not just a financial contribution; it is a beacon of hope that illuminates the lives of adults in need within the Johnson County community.

A special thank you to Jane Vega Carson and her family as they encouraged their friends and family to donate over 300 adult gifts. Often these gifts may be the only presents these individuals receive during the holiday season. We appreciate your ongoing efforts.

ACA Business Club HyVee Gift Card Drive

R&R Outdoor Living along with their Owners, Roseann and Ray Newcomer, have exceeded our expectations as they surprised us with a generous donation during the ACA Cares Christmas In July Luau events. We appreciate their continuous support as they give their time, talents and treasures throughout the year.

A big Thank you to ACA Cares Interest Group as they hosted "15 Days of Christmas In July".Throughout the month of July many ACA Club Members and friends collected $2,000 in Hy-Vee Gift Cards and added $800 in monetary donations. As promised, the Newcomer's matched the gift card drive, to give JCCB a grand total of $5,300 toward our Grocery Department. Thanks for ACA Shawnee Club for kicking it off and ACA Overland Park Club for welcoming our Donors as we enjoyed food, fun & Flamingos! Thank you to all our vendors who donated to help reach above and beyond the $2,000 goal.
