Afternoon Congregation Retreat

Thank you to all who joined us for an afternoon of getting to know Family Promise! We heard updates from staff, enjoyed the beautiful voice and words of Pastor Gladys, and were captivated by our very special guest speaker, Jessica, Shelter Program graduate.

It was a great time reconnecting with supporters and meeting new friends. We love having you in our Family Promise family, and we would not be able to accomplish what we do without you!
Making it Through the Pandemic

Jenna, a single mom of two children, had always been employed and financially secure. She never thought she would struggle with paying bills or putting food on the table, until COVID-19 came along.

In April of 2020, Jenna was laid off from her job and didn't know who to turn to. She called Family Promise and was connected with vital resources, like rental assistance, unemployment benefits, and even holiday gifts for her children.

Today, three years post-pandemic and after being unemployed for 22 months, Jenna is once again employed full time! She and her family recently moved into a beautiful apartment. In her own words, "I hit a bump in the road—a bump I never expected to hit—but I made it! We made it...Knowing you’re not alone is one of the best feelings to experience."

Congratulations, Jenna!
