Looking for Assistance in Metro Louisville to Get Through these hard times?

LouieCONNECT is a mobile-optimized website that pulls together the services in the Louisville community that provide support for people experiencing a difficult time. It includes only those services that are free and provides all of the information needed to know what they offer, where they are located, when they are open and any requirements to receive help.
The site opens with a "For You" dial, allowing the user to filter results by various demographics, as well as an "All Services" tab. You'll find resources for food and housing as well as info on assistance for jobs, financing and legal, and upcoming events.
In addition there's a list of safe places and hotlines for health and human services. Finally, there's a "Live Help" button that you can connect to a live person to guide you to resources.
ReCap: TALK CyberSecurity Summit on June 12
More than 126 people participated in the 4th Annual TALK Cybersecurity Summit this June, which was virtual. All but two of the sessions were broadcast into our TALK Facebook Live page and those sessions can be seen there. Attendees came from across the US, as well as from the United Kingdom. We thank our speakers and sponsors for a successful event, including Verizon Wireless and Microsoft's Future of Work Initiative. We hope to have the sessions available on our TALK page by July 6th for your viewing pleasure!!! Stay tuned!!!

Our local TALK partner in this summer work in Louisville is Louisville Central Community Center (LCCC). TALK has worked with TechGirlz curricula for three years.

June 25 & 26, 3 PM to 4 PM
In this workshop, students will learn about why cybersecurity is important and the practices and tools that can help people and organizations protect their critical information. This is a two-part series.
July 9th, 1-3 PM
This workshop reviews basic programming concepts using C++, such as data types, arrays, and functions. This is a two-hour session in one day.
July 9th, 4 PM to 5 PM
This workshop is a brief introduction to how websites work, how they are built, and how to become a person who builds websites. This is a one-hour course.
