LP Leadership Council Member to be honored by MassHumanities


Every year, MassHumanities hosts the Governor’s Awards in the Humanities to honor a select few individuals who have had a tremendous impact on the Commonwealth through their work in the humanities. The event aims to celebrate their commitments to education, civil and human rights, community development, and philanthropy.


This year, Bob Rivers, a member of the Lawrence Partnership's Leadership Council and Chairman & CEO of Eastern Bank, will be honored for his contributions to the humanities and philanthropy. He has maintained a strong emphasis on local community investment as part of Eastern Bank while working throughout his career to champion social justice causes, especially LGBTQ+ rights, and motivating other business leaders to operate ethically.

Money Mastery for Women Entrepreneurs


Tomo360, EforAll Merrimack Valley, and the UMass Lowell Innovation Hub hosted the Money Mastery for Women in Business mini-conference to empower women entrepreneurs. The event addressed funding challenges by educating attendees on finding and requesting funding, understanding qualification criteria, and connecting with local lending institutions. Participants heard from a panel of lenders and successful entrepreneurs who shared their experiences and strategies for securing capital.
