A Thought for Today
During this time, I have decided to reach out and try to help others. This is a scary and difficult time for so many. Maybe, with a little kindness, I can offer glimmers of hope, understanding, opportunity, and action. If I can do that, then it will be worth sharing my thoughts.

If you find today’s thought useful, please pass it on to someone you care about. Share your own thoughts and feelings during this crisis. Try to make the world a better place. Doing so may just make you smile, hope, and care a little bit more too.
Presence
Live in This Moment: In moments of crisis, we need to stay present to those around us. Spending time in the past wishing for what once was does not assist us well. Our colleagues, friends, and families need us to respond to needs now. We need to be rested, helpful, upbeat, and encouraging. When we live in the moment, we can enjoy a sunrise or sunset. A walk can give us peace for the moment. A smile can relieve the stress of a colleague or family member. A heartfelt call can sooth someone’s fear. We can be kind only is this moment. The past is completed, and the future is not yet. Live each moment.

Lesson to Learn: Being truly present in this moment is what so many need from us during times of crisis. Sometimes it is all we can offer.

Answer for Me: I need to remember to slow down and be present. Also, multi-tasking when I am with others can diminish my presence. Now more than ever, those who depend on me need my full attention when I am with them.

Action: Make the most of each moment, especially when I am with others.

Daily Habit: Prepare for encounters with others. Make sure I am kind and express my gratitude for their presence and their efforts. Recall each day these fruitful encounters and be thankful for them.
