Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Greetings!

Last week Pope Francis convened the synod of bishops in Rome to talk about Church-related issues. But a synod more than that it literally means to “journey with” or “walk with.” The Holy Father is inviting all of us to reflect on the “synodality” of the Church, how we as the Body of Christ, journey together with the Lord.

There are three things that Pope Francis is asking us to do during these years of the synod - to encounter, to listen, and to discern. Read more...

Read on for more information on the changes to the Golf Tournament, upcoming activities within our parish and around the Diocese.

God Bless,

Act of Spiritual Communion Prayer
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

World Mission Sunday

This weekend, we will celebrate World Mission Sunday. Pope Francis invites the Church to support mission dioceses in Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands, and parts of Latin America and Europe, where priests, religious and lay leaders serve the world’s most vulnerable communities. Please keep the Pope’s missions in your prayers. You can donate to help here.

GOLF TOURNAMENT
EVENT POSPONED
Dear Friends and Families of Holy Spirit School & Parish,

Due to upcoming inclement weather, we unfortunately need to postpone our golf event on Monday, October 25th. Almaden Country Club predicts the course conditions will be poor and have recommended we postpone. We intend to reschedule the golf tournament later in the school year.

However, we still plan to host the silent auction and cocktail social portion of this event to continue building our community. We are shifting the date and location for this event to:

Friday, November 5 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: Hotel Los Gatos

Please use this form to indicate if you can join us for the updated event on November 5.

This decision is disappointing and unfortunately comes with a financial impact. After receiving your response, we will reach out with additional information on donations, refunds, and alternative options. Thank you for your continued support.
