A Toast to Good Neighbours
Housing York honours tenants who make a significant difference in their communities
The Regional Municipality of York's non-profit housing corporation, is filled with good neighbours who care for their communities and make them a better place to live. Today, Housing York Inc., recognized these good neighbours at an awards ceremony in the Town of Newmarket.
"York Region is pleased to recognize deserving Housing York tenants who play a role in creating vibrant, healthy and welcoming communities," said York Region Chairman and CEO Wayne Emmerson. "Bricks and mortar build houses, but it's the people who create communities. That's the environment we strive to build for over 4,000 people who call Housing York home."
Housing York received over 40 submissions and is pleased to recognize the following 10 tenants who received a Good Neighbour Award:
