Dear Friend,

In the coming weeks, we will plant over 250 native trees as part of an ongoing forest and shoreline restoration project at Pennypack on the Delaware Park. We are so thankful to the TD Bank 'TD TREE DAYS' initiative administered by the Arbor Day Foundation for their generous grant, as well as for the TreeVitalize Watersheds grant program, managed by PHS, with funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection's Growing Greener Program, PECO and Aqua PA.

Thanks to our community partners for getting these trees in the ground with us: PowerCorps PHL, Tree Northeast, Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, East Torresdale Civic and the neighbors of Fluehr Park. We'd also like to thank you, the individual volunteers who sign up to help us plant. It's not too late to join us if you would like to learn how to plant a tree this Saturday, October 24th or on Saturday, November 7th. Register here.

This Thursday we will host our last 'Learn to Fish' event of the season. We'd like to thank Mid-Atlantic Youth Anglers for their expertise, training and gear at these events. It was a pleasure meeting all of you who participated this summer and fall. We are looking forward to bringing this popular program back next spring. To help you get through the cold winter, stay tuned for fishing webinars on a variety of topics!

Warmly,

Stephanie Phillips
Executive Director

Explore the K&T Trail - TrailOff
Last month, an immersive augmented reality audio performance presenting an original audio narrative about the K&T trail debuted as part of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival's "Trail Off" initiative. Accessed via a mobile app, listeners hear original dramas while walking the route. Nine additional trail routes in the Philadelphia area are also featured. Check out this popular new story series before it is gone!
PARK INFO: Lardner's Point Park
This November, there are a few changes coming to the greenway. Starting November 1st, a portion of Lardner's Point Park will be under construction as part of I-95 improvements. PennDOT will be improving a sewer outfall that will impact access to the park via Levick Street. The park will be open during construction with some temporary changes to parking. Look for signs redirecting parking, or park at the Devereaux Street lot. If you have questions, email us: info@riverfrontnorth.org.
Thank You Trailblazers
We'd like to send a huge THANK YOU out to our Riverfront North Trailblazers. Your contributions have helped fund a summer and fall of free community programing along the river. Check out a message from our Programs and Partnerships Manager, Brian Green. Not yet a Trailblazer? Join today!
