Sotheby's International Realty
~ Manhattan Beach, CA ~

Whenever I travel, I make it a point to connect with my Sotheby's peers
within their area. So on a recent visit of the South Bay community in California,
I paid a visit to the Vista Sotheby's International Realty office.

I spent some time chatting with Barry Host who is a lifelong Manhattan Beach
resident and Real Estate Professional with Sotheby's.

Vista Sotheby's covers a great many communities along the Cali coast just southwest of LA from El Segundo to Torrance. There are many high-end homes on the beachfronts at various price points.

As for Manhattan Beach, families who move to this area are community-oriented, outdoor-enthusiasts. In a way, it reminded me of Suffern. There are many lovely homes on tree-lined streets, a fine school district and places of worship. Where they have surfing, Suffern has hiking, biking, climbing, and kayaking. They put on afternoon concerts, as does Suffern. Manhattan Beach, I'm paraphrasing... "with its rich past, exciting present and promising future, is primarily a residential community.

With its small-town living atmosphere, it will steal your heart, relax your mind.
" You can certainly say the same for Suffern!

Beach loving families who are drawn to a small-town vibe will certainly adore Manhattan Beach. Vista Sotheby's is also very involved with its school district. Barry shared that Manhattan Beach schools are run independently of Los Angeles Unified School District, with a separate school board based in Manhattan Beach. Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach is ranked in the top 1% of high schools nationally and has students from both.

Vista Sotheby's contributes to the community in many ways. Barry himself supports charities such as Giveback Homes, Knights of Columbus, LA Family Housing and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Vista Sotheby's, with Barry's compassion, hosts dog rescues a couple of times a year and have been very successful in finding them new homes.

Many thanks to Barry Host for the warm welcome!
