Caring for people with bleeding disorders in developing countries—

A Very Special Milestone: Shreeshakrishna's Story

We are thrilled to share the success of Shreeshakrishna, who was a beneficiary of our sponsorship and scholarship programs. Shreeshakrishna recently passed the CA final exams and is now a qualified chartered accountant! He has not had an easy path to this success, but still overcame. Shreeshakrishna has severe hemophilia A. He grew up in India with his grandparents, since he lost both of his parents during his adolescence. Shreeshakrishna sent us a letter sharing his story, read it below.

"I am writing to share a very special milestone in my life—by the grace of God and with the unwavering support of people like you, I have successfully cleared the CA Final examinations and am now a qualified Chartered Accountant.

This achievement would not have been possible without the invaluable support I received from Save One Life during my educational journey. The scholarships and the provision of antihemophilic factors during my Bachelor's degree made a significant difference in managing my condition and focusing on my studies.

I would especially like to express my deepest gratitude to Ms. Usha Parthasarathi, whose kindness, guidance, and commitment ensured that I could benefit from the programs offered by Save One Life. Her efforts on behalf of individuals like me in India are truly life-changing, and I will remain forever grateful for her support.

Save One Life’s mission to uplift people with bleeding disorders across countries is not just impactful—it is life-saving. I am proud to be a beneficiary of such a compassionate and empowering organization.

Please accept my heartfelt thanks for being a vital part of my success story. I look forward to the day I can give back and contribute to the cause that once supported me.

Thank you for being a part of my journey and for making a meaningful difference in my life. I will always remain grateful for your kindness and support."

We are so proud of Shreeshakrishna for his amazing success and all he has overcome to get here. Save One Life is blessed to be able to have a part in the stories of all the people we help. You can make a difference by visiting our website and choosing the program you'd like to support!

Thank you to Sanofi for their generous support of our scholarship program!

Save One Life attends #BDC2025!

Last week, Save One Life attended NBDF's Bleeding Disorder Conference in Aurora, Colorado! The Save One Life team had a wonderful time learning, sharing stories and connecting with our community.

Our booth!

Elsa Meza and Jenn, our program manager

We had many visitors at the Save One Life booth, where we were able to spread the word about the impactful work we do. While there, we had the incredible opportunity to meet with Elsa Meza, who works for our program partner the Hemophilia Society of Honduras. It was wonderful to meet her in person and hear her first-hand experiences in working with the patients and families who benefit from our programs in Honduras. It is partners like Elsa who make it possible for Save One Life to reach so many in need.

We hosted an educational session titled “Against All Odds: Stories that Inspire,”  to share the stories of the children and young adults we have provided assistance to through our sponsorship and scholarship programs. Their stories highlighted the powerful narratives of resilience, determination, and hope—spotlighting those in developing countries who, despite the unimaginable challenges of living with a chronic condition, have achieved their dreams with the support of our bleeding disorder community. Thanks to all of our corporate sponsors for supporting our programs and to our many donors who sponsor a child through our sponsorship program. It is because of you that they are living more fulfilled lives.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, and to NBDF for giving us the platform to share these inspiring stories. We were truly honored to lift up the voices of those who embody courage and perseverance every day.

On Wednesday, before the opening of BDC, we proudly launched our Ambassador Program! Six ambassadors from across the country traveled to Colorado for our very first ambassador training. Building awareness of our work is essential to our success, and this program is designed to empower community members to educate others about global bleeding disorder care, the mission of Save One Life, and the impact individuals can make.

We are honored to introduce our ambassadors: Aamina Aftikhar, Tamarrow Mitchel, Daniel Cruz, Naomi Giron, Fara Pavri, and Richard Williams. These passionate individuals will go on to represent Save One Life in their own communities, at events, and beyond.

The training was filled with fresh perspectives, valuable education, and contagious enthusiasm. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Debbie de la Riva, whose support has been instrumental in developing this program and recruiting our ambassadors. And to our ambassadors—thank you for your passion and commitment to advancing our mission. We’re truly lucky to have you on board.

In addition to our U.S. Ambassador Program, Marelle Hart, a member of our board, is building a team of European ambassadors. We look forward to introducing our ambassadors and sharing more about this exciting program in the months ahead.
