First Lady of Machakos Visits!

We were thrilled that the First Lady of Machakos County, Lillian Ng'ang'a visited the Wamunyu Special School and the Kenya Connect Learning Resource Center!  She was very impressed with our work on literacy and building a reading culture and our technology programs.  During her visit to the Wamunyu Special School, the First Lady presented new mattresses and additional food supplies for the students.

PenPal Programs and a New Service Learning Project!

Kenya Connect was founded with the mission to connect kids around the globe through a PenPal program.  Our flagship program continues and many schools have furthered their partnerships by participating in Service Learning.

We are honored that Montgomery School's 2nd grade began a program on International Literacy Day called Steps Towards Literacy.  As the students walk, they are raising funds to help us purchase Kenyan authored and published books for the Learning Resource Library.  We will be reporting back about this program!
