The first round of Absentee ballots to those with a request on file were mailed out last week. Please make sure to carefully review the instructions included with your ballot.

Do you need to:
Stick with Sparklers
As you prepare for your 4th of July celebrations, remember, fireworks are illegal in Waukesha.

The only type of fireworks allowed are sparklers on a wire or wood stick not exceeding 36 inches in length or 0.25 inch in outside diameter which does not contain magnesium chlorate or perchlorate.
Keep Your Pets Safe
Did you know? More pets get lost on the 4th of July than any other day of the year?

  • Be sure your pets are wearing an up-to-date visible ID tag at all times

  • Keep charcoal, sparklers, and glow sticks far away from curious pets.

  • If your pets are afraid of loud noises, leave them at home with gentle music playing to cover the sound of fireworks.
Memorial Design Deadline
The deadline to submit a design for the Waukesha Parade memorials at Grede Park and Downtown is Friday, July 8. The goal for these memorials is to create something that thoughtfully honors all victims of the Waukesha Christmas Parade tragedy, provides an opportunity for reflection, and represents healing as a community.

You can review details for the submissions on the City website.
