Tuesday, December 3: Your contributions on Giving Tuesday raised over $35,000 to help provide food, shelter, and safety to neighbors in need.
Thursday, December 5: Our Jingle & Mingle fundraiser brought the community together to raise vital funds for CRC’s programs.
Saturday, December 7: The 42nd annual Holiday Baskets program brought joy to local households, ensuring they have the essentials for a brighter season.

Holiday Baskets Brings Joy to Our Neighbors in Need

Thank you to everyone who made this season brighter for those in need! Holiday Baskets provided hundreds of households with a dignified holiday shopping experience, delivered heartwarming gifts to seniors and gave essentials, coffee and breakfast to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Thank You, Coldwell Banker Realty Encinitas!

Coldwell Banker Realty Encinitas hosted their 25th Annual CanTree Holiday Food Drive at Stater Bros in Encinitas last weekend, collecting hundreds of food and personal care items for CRC’s pantry. We’re so grateful for their ongoing support!

Subaru Share the Love: Now Through January 2nd!

We're thankful to be a Subaru Share the Love charity partner for the fourth year! For every new Subaru purchased or leased, Subaru will donate $250 to your chosen charity—please select Community Resource Center! AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad will also contribute an additional $75 per vehicle.

You’ll see a change in our online donation forms, as our platform provider has implemented two-factor authentication at the time of a donation. We know this adds an extra step to the donation process, but your security and peace of mind are at the heart of this change.

Give Smart, Give Back Before the End of the Year

As 2024 winds down, consider these impactful, tax-smart ways to support our mission:

IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs): If you're 70½ or older, you can transfer up to $105,000 annually from your IRA directly to charity. This is a simple, tax-advantaged way to support CRC. We recommend initiating your gift by mid-December to ensure year-end processing. Consult your tax advisor for guidance. For details, visit the IRS website.
Donating Appreciated Securities: Make a meaningful impact by donating stocks, bonds, or mutual funds held for over a year. This strategy may allow you to eliminate capital gains taxes, diversify your portfolio, and support our work without impacting your cash flow or liquidity.

CRC Staff Manager Training: $15,000

As CRC grows, so too does our need to provide ongoing training for our managers. Your gift can help provide relevant training for current and new managers to effectively lead their teams. By investing in our managers, you ensure they are equipped to deliver the best care for the individuals and families we serve, ultimately enhancing our impact in the community. Every contribution, no matter the amount, makes a difference.

New Signage for CRC Resale Stores: $11,725

CRC’s three resale stores are in need of new signage to help our stores attract more buyer traffic and thus create more funding for our organization! Your gift of support can provide new storefront signs, a monument sign for the San Marcos store, interior mission signage for Carlsbad and San Marcos, and updated parking lot signs for all three stores.
