My name is Jim Dwyer and I'm a Skålleague! I have been a member of Skål since 1993, starting with the Skål Toledo where I joined their board in 1994 and was elected VP in 1997. I transferred to the Detroit Club soon after, when the Toledo club was suspended.

I was transferred to New Jersey in 1998, and have been with the Northern New Jersey club since then. In 2001 I joined the NNJ board and became president for the first time in 2009. In 2013 I was elected SIUSA Rep, and was again elected club president for 2015. I was elected VP Region 1 in 2015, From 2016 to 2018 I was Skål USA Director of Membership and was elected Skål USA VP Administration for 2019.

In 2003, I instituted a holiday toy donation/collection for a local service center that the club continues to this day. I also proposed Friendship Trips that began in 2004, coordinating visits to the following Skål clubs: North Holland, Ireland (all clubs), Prague, Malta, Copenhagen, Rome, Bruges, Vienna, Berlin, Maastricht, Liege, Cologne, Andorra, Girona, Monaco and Nice, Amsterdam, Basel, Venice, Split, Dubrovnik, Porto and Scotland. In 2007, I organized the first of 3 Region 1 dinners in Hightstown, NJ attended by 100 Skålleagues from 17 clubs nationwide. And in 2017 I reorganized he regional meeting in Princeton, NJ which have been attended by 7 local clubs.

I've attended 9 NAASC Congresses (Calgary, Jamaica, Bermuda, Puerto Vallarta, Halifax, Boise, Toronto, Playa Mujeres, Hawaii) and 6 Skål International World Congresses (Antalya, Budapest, New York, Torremolinos, Monaco and Miami). I consider myself a great ambassador not only for the Northern New Jersey club, but for Skål USA and Skål International as well. I love nothing more than bringing people together for both friendship and business. I'm extremely enthusiastic about Skål and will work to bring more travel professionals into Skål .
