Dear Oakland Family,
Greetings and I hope that you and your families are staying safe and well! It is quite the world we continue to navigate! Think about what all we will have learned when we look back on this year! Let me encourage you all to continue being there for each other and supporting each other: physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The OBC staff has done an unbelievable job adapting to provide new opportunities at church, while being there to support so many members dealing with difficulties in their individual lives.
Oakland Baptist will begin in-person worship on November 15th. This is being done with precautions in place that will allow a limited number of people to be in the building for two worship opportunities at 8:30AM and 11:15AM. The service will also be Live Streamed and available on our YouTube page following the live service. Deacons endorsed this plan presented by the staff and are very appreciative of all the work that went into the plan and preparation. If you choose to participate in worship in the building, PLEASE follow all guidelines for the safety of everyone involved. You can find all the information you need by CLICKING HERE. Be assured that we continue to monitor local numbers related to the virus and, should we believe it necessary, we will make adjustments.
We certainly realize many people will not be comfortable returning to the building based on your individual situation. That makes it equally as exciting that we will begin live streaming our services on November 15th. Even if we aren’t all together in the building, this will give us the opportunity to feel more together. The technology advances in the sanctuary will continue to make your viewing and worship experience the best it can be from the comfort of home!
Thank you again to staff and others that continue to drive us forward and help support our fellowship during these trying times. I encourage you all to stay focused on all of our many blessings, loving each other, and trusting in God.
