EAGLES AWAKENED:

EMPOWERED FOR THIS HOUR

There is a heightened sense of spiritual warfare and opposition in the atmosphere that seems to be escalating within the past few weeks. In the midst of all the chaos, confusion, and turmoil in the world right now, Jesus is saying “Peace Be Still”. People are panicking and wondering what is going to happen next, but I hear the Holy Spirit whispering “Be Still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth."

The body of Christ has endured so many major battles over the past few years. Some of you feel as if the warfare has been too much to endure. We’ve been beaten, battered and bruised as the storms raged against us, burned and scorched as we were thrown in the fiery furnace. We’ve experienced challenges from our government, our leaders, our families and even our churches. We’ve even experienced friendly fire from within our own camps.

But through it all, we know that the Word of God says that the Lord will not give us more than we could bear. It also says that He will make a way of escape for us. I feel that there are more major storms on the horizon in the days ahead and it may seem to get darker in the natural, but Jesus wants to strengthen us to rise above every storm. One day the Holy Spirit gave me this powerful word.

I was reading Isaiah chapter 40 in the Passion translation. Verse 28 says: “Don’t you know? Haven’t you been listening? Yahweh is the one and only everlasting God, the Creator of all you can see and imagine! He never gets weary or worn out. His intelligence is unlimited; He is never puzzled over what to do! He empowers the feeble and infuses the powerless with increasing strength.

And verse 31 which most of us are familiar with says (TPT): They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their race without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up.” An eagle knows when a storm is approaching. All the other birds take cover and try to hide when they see the dark clouds rolling in, except the eagle. The eagle flies to a high altitude and waits for the winds to come.

When the storm hits, it uses the strong winds to glide upwards and over the storm. They have a special ability to fly efficiently and to great distances with minimal effort. Larger eagles, like golden eagles and bald eagles, can fly high enough to rise above the storm clouds. They have been observed at elevations of up to 11,000 feet, the altitude that many small planes fly at.

Eagles have extraordinary vision. They could spot moving prey at a distance of up to three miles away. Their eyes are on the side of their head which gives them a 340-degree visual field compared to a humans 180 degrees. They have excellent peripheral and binocular vision. It is said that some eagles could swoop downward at speeds of up to 200 miles an hour to attack their prey.

They build their nests up high to protect their chicks, and be safe from predators such as foxes. When an eagle and a snake are in a conflict, the eagle always wins. The Lord used the analogy of the eagle in Isaiah to represent the strength and determination of His people. The Lord is raising up believers with the eyes of an eagle to be able to see from a higher place.

He’s raising up watchman on the wall who will not look at things in the natural, but they will discern by the Holy Spirit. They will have the zeal and tenacity to carry out His plans because they are seated with Him in heavenly places and know their authority as a believer. Some will be commissioned to go into new territory and take back the land for the kingdom of God.

Some will be placed in governmental positions to take back the nations. Jesus has given every believer authority to change and reverse the demonic agenda of the enemy through prayer and fasting. The Lord is strengthening His people to rise above every storm no matter how severe it may be. They will have the boldness to go forward no matter what comes against them.

He has given them power over the enemy and nothing by any means shall harm them. He is calling those who are unwavering in faith to strengthen those around them. They don’t allow the tempestuous wind to throw them off course and are not moved when the wind changes direction. They will not waver in their beliefs but they will keep their eyes on Jesus knowing that He’s made a way of escape in every storm.

Psalm 103:5

Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.

Isaiah 46:10

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Isaiah 40:28-31 (TPT)

“Don’t you know? Haven’t you been listening? Yahweh is the one and only everlasting God, the Creator of all you can see and imagine! He never gets weary or worn out. His intelligence is unlimited; he is never puzzled over what to do! He empowers the feeble and infuses the powerless with increasing strength. Even young people faint and get exhausted; athletic ones may stumble and fall. But those who wait for Yahweh’s grace will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their race without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up.”
