HEAVENS WARRING ANGELS DEPLOYED FOR OUR DEFENSE
The U.S Homeland Security Advisory System uses a color-coded scale to indicate the nation’s terror alert level. The scale has five levels: Low risk (green), Guarded (blue), Elevated (Yellow), High (Orange), and Severe (Red). This system provides a clear visual indicator of the current threat level. In our physical world we have an enemy who is trying to kill, steal and destroy us, but the true culprit comes from the kingdom of darkness. On the other hand, we have angelic protection surrounding us to keep us from harm.
The Holy Spirit wants to heighten our awareness of the spiritual realm so that we are able to discern the presence of both demonic spirits and angelic. We need to recognize when something is a spiritual attack or something caused by our own actions. We need to elevate our spiritual awareness so that we could discern when there is a code red attack planned against us or others. The Lord wants to take us to a new level so that we’ll not only recognize the enemy’s strategies, but also to effectively counter and dismantle his plans.
Some of you feel as though you are surrounded by adversity, but you need to understand that persecution is an inevitable part of our journey. Each time I sit down to write “A Word in Season” I encounter spiritual opposition. Despite the heavy spiritual resistance, I’ve learned to press through and enter into the presence of the Holy Spirit. I learned how to create a portal for His presence. It requires a deliberate shift, switching gears from the natural realm to the Spirit realm. By doing so, I’m able to break through the noise and clamor of the outside world.
I’d like to share a personal testimony that took place a couple of years ago. I was driving through a lovely neighborhood, lined with beautiful trees. I drove past an elementary school so the speed limit was reduced to 15 mph in that particular zone. As I approached a corner for some reason I slowed down to a stop even though I didn’t have a stop sign. A truck sped through the intersection about 50 mph and didn’t stop. If I kept going even at the speed of 15 mph that truck would have hit me broadside and I could have been killed.
This may be difficult for some of you to believe but it seemed as if an angel gently shifted my car slightly to the right. I had worship music on and I had such an incredible sense of peace rather than panic. The truck was black with very dark tinted windows so I never saw who was driving. All I heard was something which sounded like a bunch of boxes tumbling over in the back of the truck (or people) as the driver slammed on the brakes. They must have been shaken up, but surprisingly, they didn’t stop after that, but they kept going.
I knew that it was another attempt from the enemy to take my life. We need to remember that our true battle is not against human beings, but against spirits of darkness. When we abide in the presence of The Lord and walk in the Spirit, Jesus will always protect us. Angels are indeed real and if our eyes were opened to the supernatural realm we would see them working on our behalf. I’ve felt the presence of angels many times. It’s time for the believers to understand supernatural things.
Lukewarm Christianity will not be able to sustain us in the days ahead. Jesus is trying to get our attention. I recently watched a live stream of a powerful meeting with an evangelist ministering to hundreds of children. Some were laughing, some were crying, some were praying in English and others were praying in tongues. This is what we are about to experience. It’s time for The Body of Christ to unite so that we could move on and experience a global move of God.
