Clear Creek County Commission
supports Mount Blue Sky!
After three weeks of meetings, public comments, and discussions, Clear Creek County Board of County Commissioners voted to rename Mt. Evans to Mount Blue Sky! While we know there is still a lot of work ahead, we are celebrating this huge step forward. We can't thank everyone enough for showing up, time and time again, to support tribal voices and Mount Blue Sky!
We want to thank Commissioners Marlin, Wheelock, and Wood for opening the conversation to the public. We also want to thank Commissioners Marlin and Wheelock for supporting renaming Mount Evans to Mount Blue Sky.

This recommendation will be sent to the state and federal naming boards and Governor Polis. We will let everyone know when the state board officially puts Mount Evans on their agenda. In the meantime, please keep writing your letters of support for Mount Blue Sky, and keep an eye out for another educational webinar soon!
