My name is Ava Kobulnicky. I was chosen along with other Elizabeth Forward Middle School students to plant trees at Boyce Park. It was a very nice experience. I was partnered with a friend and we planted a lot of trees. It was a beautiful day in Boyce, and after we were all done planting trees, the place looked so nice. It is great to help the environment. The world is full of so many great things, and it is nice to see kids outside helping for a change.
Personally, I have always been interested in biology and ecology for almost my whole life. It was a great honor to join with the gifted and talented students for the day. I was so excited for biology class when I got to the eighth grade because I like to learn about nature, the ecosystem, how things react in nature, and the list keeps going. Being truthful, I just wanted to dissect something! I thought that would be cool. But I really enjoyed the trip and I can't wait to come back and see the trees years from now, where they will be thriving in the sunlight. They will stand big, tall, and proud to be there, just like the people who planted them!
