Rosh Hashoneh is just around the corner !
While searching for the perfect image to start off our newsletter, we came across a treasure trove of Yiddish postcards from the Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life, as well as this story in  The Forward on The Curious History of Rosh Hashanah Cards in Yiddish.

Looking for a little introspection?
The ten days from Rosh Hashoneh through  Yomkipr  are a great time to think about life.  10Q emails you a thought-provoking question each day for ten days.  One year later, your answers are unlocked and returned to you, and the process begins anew.

 Honor Wall
From Lea Delson:
I am remembering my beloved uncle, Michael J. Harrison, who knew a lot more Yiddish than I do! He was a physicist, college professor, college Dean, and researcher. He had a great sense of humor and great devotion to the Jewish people, loved good food and good company, travel and information. He was a very warm, caring and loving person and uncle. He passed away on April 7, 2018 at age 85 in East Lansing, Michigan, and is survived by his devoted wife Ann Tukey Harrison. May his soul be bound in the bonds of eternal life.
