GET READY TO PEDAL! DOCKLESS BIKE SHARING IS ROLLING INTO SHADELANDS
Shadelands will be launching an easy-to-use, high-tech bikeshare program with LimeBike , a San Mateo-based firm that will deploy 500 smart-bikes throughout the 267-acre Shadelands business center enabled with GPS, 3G wireless technology, and self-activating locks.

Get ready to hop on:
Download the LimeBike app
on your iPhone or Android ;
Sign up with your Shadelands business domain address.

When the bikes arrive, open the app, find a bike on the map, unlock the bike with the tap of the app, pedal to your destination, and lock the bike.

WHAT A YEAR IT'S BEEN!
Shadelands property owners, businesses, and employees have much to celebrate in 2018!

• In the past two years, Shadelands and the City of Walnut Creek have collaborated to enact significant rezoning measures that have allowed a greater diversity of businesses and nonprofits to populate Shadelands, adding measurably to its vibrancy and ongoing economic potential.

• Shadelands is enjoying significant commercial and consumer attention throughout the region as a flourishing business and lifestyle center - particularly with the opening of The Orchards - positioning Shadelands as a destination for work and for play.

• Robust commercial brokerage activity - and Shadelands' growing reputation as the place to be - has resulted in a vacancy level of 16.75% , continuing a 10-year low.

• The free Pleasant Hill BART shuttle is experiencing significant ridership. As of November 2017, riders numbered 97,725, up by 2,000 compared to the entire 12 months of 2016.

• In 2017, Shadelands inked close to 45 new leases , bringing commercial property to 3.3 million square feet.

The Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce is conducting a citywide business climate survey and it needs your help to make the results statistically meaningful.

Chamber Board Chair Mary Brooks will use the findings in her business presentation prior to Walnut Creek City Mayor Justin Wedel's State of the City presentation.

The deadline for completing the survey is Friday, January 12. The winner will be drawn from all surveys collected. A refund will be issued if the winner has already paid for a reservation.

Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) stages its 27th annual musical gala Stars to the Rescue on January 27, at the Lesher Center for the Arts, featuring Chicago, Cam, and Franco D'Ambrosio.
