The Global Environment Facility (GEF), has produced a children's booklet under the ‘National Implementation Plan for the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants in Jamaica’. The booklet, called 'POPs and The Family' was co-implemented by the UNDP MCO in Jamaica and the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation. The children's booklet illustrates and explains the dangers of POPs and highlights how families can reduce their exposure. | |

Highlights of inaugural EU 5K | |
The Delegation of the European Union to Jamaica hosted its first ‘European Union - Jamaica 5K’ on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 6:30 am in downtown Kingston, with the aim of increasing public awareness of the partnership between the European Union and Jamaica to jointly tackle important challenges. The first EU-JA 5K was held under the theme 'All Together Against Crime and Violence' and showcased the EU’s support to Jamaica’s Citizen Security Programme.
