Groton Winter Tree Stroll

We are thrilled to invite you back to see the decorations for the second annual Groton Winter Tree Stroll. This year, we welcome you to visit us at The General Field, Bates Land, and Shepley Hill to see decorations installed by many local organizations. Join GCT trustee Michelle Ruby for a walk at beautiful Shepley Hill on Friday November 26th at 10:00 AM. There will be decorations installed at Shepley as part of our Groton Winter Tree Stroll event. All Ages Hike at Town Forest

Trustee Brian Bettencourt will lead an all ages hike at Groton Town Forest along the Nashua River on Sunday December 5th at 1:00 PM. This is an ideal event for families, Groton newcomers, or anyone just interested in enjoying a beautiful early winter walk. Hikers will enjoy a flat, easy path suitable for walkers of all ages.This event is free for all, but registration is required:

Bates Land
Work Party
This Sunday, 11/14
Join members of the Groton Conservation Trust on Sunday November 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM for a work party at the Bates Land on Old Ayer Road. You may be aware that we are engaged in a multi-year effort to restore Bates and increase its ecological resilience, safety, and accessibility. We will be working together on the picnic area. Bring your gloves, pruners, and weed wrenches if you have them, but no special skills are needed. These work parties are a lot of fun and a great way to get to know people in the community.
Full Moon Hike
Gibbet Hill, November 18, 2021
GCT president Mark Gerath will lead a hike to one of the most beautiful spots in Groton, Gibbet Hill on Thursday, November 18th at 7:00 PM. This will be a relatively short hike but a pretty steep one. Bring a headlamp for walking in the trees and in case there are clouds. The view of the village at night is a real treat. This event is free for all, but registration is required:
