Dear Ricardo and Beth,,

When you travel in December, you probably expect to see decorations. But that normally isn't the case in the southern cone...Chile, Uruguay and Argentina just don't celebrate Christmas much. However, this on this trip Argentina has been all decked out in light blue and white...flags are flying everywhere...as the country celebrates their national soccer teams success thus far in the World Cup. And since the team advanced to game played in the middle of the Argentinian Annual Conference...we had to take a 4 hour lunch break so everybody could watch...and then celebrate another Argentinian win.

In fact, there was such a sweet spirit of unity, mutual appreciation and healing within the members of the Argentinian mission district that the whole weekend was worthy of celebration! Pastors Rodrigo and Tanya Rosado are doing excellent work as the Mission District Leader and Coordinator of Empowering Transformational Churches! In fact, this week's video talks about the advancments we've made in 2022 within that area. And, as for the lack of Christmas decorations...well, there weren't any on the first Christmas either. The important thing is to remember that God sent His Son for everyone...northern and southern cone alike! He loves us so much that he is willing to meet us where ever we might be found...and in Argentina that is likely a soccer game. In fact, it is one of Pastor Rodrigo's primary forms of evangelism. He plays soccer with young men in parks throughout Buenos Aires...and then introduces them to a head coach who can literally transform their lives!

Now we're in Uruguay...expect to hear from us again next week with the final episode of "Your Link to Latin America". We should be writing from Kentucky again then!

We love and appreciate each of you! Blessings,

Ricardo, Beth, Juliana & Jonathan

PS. When we were in Chile, I forgot to mention our 3 hour family reunion with two of Ricardo's siblings. It was a big deal, especially since we hadn't seen his sister for 10 years. Here they are, in front of one of the few Christmas trees found in Santiago.
