Celebrating 27+ Years of Leadership: CEO Carol Looks Ahead to Retirement
Plus Credit Union is proud to recognize the upcoming retirement of our Chief Executive Officer, Carol, who will be retiring at the end of this year, after more than 27 years of service to this organization and its members.
Carol’s tenure spans one of the most turbulent periods in modern financial history, including the dot-com collapse, the housing crisis of 2008, a global pandemic that reshaped how Americans work and bank, and the rapid acceleration of digital finance that has fundamentally changed member expectations. Navigating that landscape while keeping rates fair, service personal, and the institution sound required not just competence, but genuine commitment to the people being served.
Under her guidance, Plus Credit Union maintained its commitment to the cooperative values that define what a credit union is meant to be: an institution that exists to serve its members, first and always. Decisions were made with the long-term health of the membership in mind, and that approach shaped the organization you interact with today, from the products available to the way our staff is trained to serve you.
The culture Carol built at Plus Credit Union shows up in every member interaction, every loan processed, and every question answered by our team. Under her leadership, member service was never treated as a department. It was an expectation that ran through every role, every decision, and every interaction at Plus Credit Union.
As she steps away, Plus Credit Union remains in a strong position. You can be confident that the board has planned for this transition thoughtfully, and we look forward to sharing more with our membership in the new year.
Carol’s retirement marks the close of a chapter that has defined this organization for more than a generation. We are deeply grateful for her years of dedication, her unwavering commitment to this membership, and the standard of excellence she leaves behind. On behalf of our board, staff, and the members she has served so faithfully, we wish her a retirement that is every bit as rewarding as the career she built.
