Welcome to December!

It's been a busy year at the Belleville Chamber and we ended November with two great events...

Celebrating our QBAA winners has been a feature of our November Breakfast of Champions - sponsored by Trenval, for many years now and we welcomed 6 of the 8 members who won to share their journey in a panel discussion on Wednesday, November 27 to a packed room! In case you missed it,

Check out the QBAA Wall of Fame

And we ended the month with the launch of our Dual Partnership with the Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce. The program offers Black-led businesses who are members of the Belleville Chamber free membership with the CBCC and access to resources designed to support additional opportunities and challenges faced by entrepreneurs. The launch was followed by a workshop lunch at Quinte Gardens led by Carrie Oswald, Belonging Redefined that helped us explore "Widening our Professional Circle of Trust".

This is one of our favourite events of the year, as we jingle through the evening with our members in the last social mingle of the year. Join us starting at 5 pm and sample the delicious appetizers until 7 pm, courtesy of our hosts, The Belleville Club. Enjoy the wonderful music by Jon Roblin in the final Chamber mingle of 2024. In a statement, Canadian Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Candace Laing, responded to President-elect Donald Trump’s recent announcement of a 25% tariff on Canadian imports. "Being America’s 'nice neighbour' won’t get us anywhere in this situation," she said. "President-elect Trump’s intention to impose 25% tariffs signals that the U.S.-Canada trade relationship is no longer about mutual benefit. To him, it’s about winners and losers—with Canada on the losing end."
