OWNERS & BREEDERS ASSOCIATION

A LETTER FROM

GRANTS PASS DOWNS

Good Afternoon,

I wanted to reach out to let you know now is the time for you and allies of the horse racing and equine industries in Oregon to activate. We've recently received information that the approval of The Flying Lark's Historic Horse Racing machines and opening applications may be in jeopardy. If those applications are denied, it would have a catastrophic impact on the local industry- Grants Pass Downs would close and racing in Oregon would no longer exist.

Your respective associations, your Boards of Directors and your members can help. Please contact the Governor, Speaker of the House, Attorney General and Oregon Racing Commission to share the effect on you and your members if the Flying Lark isn't allowed to open. I have attached an information sheet that will help you and your members explain the impact. Personal stories from your members sharing the impact on them will be very effective.

Here is a list of names and contact information for your use:

o Governor Kate Brown via Jeff Rhoades, [email protected]

o House Speaker Tina Kotek, [email protected]

o Attorney General, Special Counsel Michael Kron, [email protected]

o ORC Chairman Diego Conde, [email protected]

Thank you for your support!!
