President's Message
Greetings!

Greetings again CVOA Members.

I hope the "Openings" in your area, limited as they may be, are allowing you to get out and enjoy the Spring. At our upcoming Board Meeting on June 14, we hope to find ways to offer some outside activities with your friends and fellow Members. Actually, our first-class Range would be a great place to start. In the meantime, stay safe, and support locally.

Mark Curtis
Your membership is valid through Dec. 31, 2020.

Board/Member Meeting
Sunday, June 14, 2:00 pm
Virtual by Zoom
Our Board and Member meeting will be held by means of Zoom on Sunday, June 14 at 2:00 pm.

Other than the standard reports, our old business items include discussion of a written policy about how trip spaces are filled, particularly when there is more interest than available spaces allow. Also, the By-Laws Committee has made a number of proposed revisions to our By-Laws; most are changes in wording and minor modifications to content.

If you would like to attend the meeting via Zoom, please request a Zoom invitation by replying to this email or by contacting Cindy Foster at cvoa.secretary@gmail.com . If you need help getting started with Zoom, feel free to contact Cindy well ahead of the meeting.

If you have any agenda items to present, please contact Mark Curtis, cvoa.president@gmail.com .
2021 Ski Trips
There is room on all of the trips, and your $50 CVOA Reservation Fee is refundable until September 1st.

Range ID Badges

If you have not yet received your 2020 Range ID Badge, please contact Cindy at cvoa.secretary@gmail.com.
Hello All,

Welcome summer! Our new gate combination has gone into effect. If you have not yet received your badge, please contact Cindy Foster or myself. Event updates can also be found on our FB page: CVOA Shooting Range, or our updated website, cvoarange.com.

We have decided to run BOTH 5 Stand and Trap Shoots weekly . We ask that shooters be patient with our attempts to implement social distancing measures. As we go along we will learn what works and what may need to be adjusted. Once again, masks are voluntary. Social distancing and limiting the number of shooters is required. Extra shooters are asked to wait their turn either near their cars or at a safe distance.

Five Stand Shoots – Saturdays – 9am until noon, rain or shine
Trap Shoots – Sundays – 9am to noon, weather permitting
Trap Shoots – Wednesdays – 10am to noon, weather permitting
Rifle Range – Every day – Dawn to Dusk
Pistol Range – Every day – Dawn to Dusk
Archery Range – Opening July 1st – Every – Dawn to Dusk

Trap and Five Stand costs $5/round or you may purchase 10 rounds for $40, which will save you $10 and make it easier for us to manage the sign up for the Shoots. Your 10-round punch card can be used for both the Five Stand and Trap Shoots, and can be used for multiple shooters, with no expiration. Such a deal!

We are moving along on the 50 yard range, which is located to the left of the 100 yard Rifle Range. We have added an additional waste container at the Rifle Range. Please take advantage to discard your spent casings and used targets.

We are so fortunate to live here in Maine and enjoy this wonderful outdoor life. There are more folks taking advantage of our region this summer, so if you have any friends or neighbors looking for summer fun, bring them to the Range or tell them about CVOA!

Happy Shooting!

A Message from Al Sleight, Coordinator

To CVOA

I would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped with the Carrabassett Valley town cleanup. Year after year, we have provided amazing support for this project and this year was no exception. Rt. 27 is a dedicated scenic highway in the Western Mountains of Maine, and it is nice to see it restored to its natural state. Thanks again for your continued support with the cleanup.
