Class of 2025 in new White Coats.
August 26th’s White Coat Ceremony, which normally would have celebrated just the incoming class (2025), this year also included the Class of 2024; the now-second years didn’t don their white coats last year due to a pandemic-forced ceremony cancellation. While the Class of 2024 counts 84 students, the Class of 2025 includes 103 students. This double ceremony followed the double welcome cruise held earlier in August, which also sought to make up for the pandemic-cancelled boat trip last summer for the 2024 students.
The double ceremony was held before an audience of family members, staff and faculty for both classes at the New York Academy of Medicine. Speakers included Lisa K. Lee, Dean for Student Services and Enrollment Management; Michael Trepal, DPM (’81), Vice President for Academic Affairs ... Read more

NYCPM’s Sports Medicine Club Helps Feed a Community
In late July, several members of NYCPM’s Sports Medicine Club joined other volunteers at Brooklyn’s Recovery House of Worship to serve at its community food pantry. The volunteers helped distribute grocery items to 500 members of the community, providing quality food that would help restore health and dignity to those in need. Club treasurer, Kimmie Abrams, planned the event via the church’s website, which provides volunteer opportunities. Part of the church’s mission is to “help hurting people heal.” Anyone interested in volunteering can visit https://www.hfny.org/affiliates/recovery-house-worship-brooklyn
