important updates to previous information
The Families First Coronavirus Response Act passed a week ago. This is the
Phase 2 law we have been sharing information about, mostly related to how the government is supporting employees who get ill, or have to care for someone as a result of the virus, and what obligations you, as employers have to that individual.
I sent out a summary and a list of FAQs on Thursday from the employment lawyer the AKFCF has engaged to help keep you informed.
Late yesterday, the Department of Labor updated its guidance and regulations.
The attached summary updates the information we sent before. The changes have been highlighted—otherwise the document is exactly the same as the one I sent Thursday. We will continue to update this information as more guidance becomes available.
