Our county has witnessed and endured such heartache. Our hearts and minds will continue to process our grief and sadness, and we will forever remember those we have lost.
I want to focus this message to you, our business community, on our strength. I have watched you unite to come together during these, the difficult times, more than once. When our community grieves, you, as business owners, step up to ease the burden. We work together to find the light in the darkness.
This is what we are meant to do. By Oxford definition, a chamber of commerce is
a local association to promote and protect the interests of the business community in a particular place.
We prove we are so much more than a general definition. We are a business community that protects and serves one another. We are the definition of community involvement. We work to make our home a better place by each passing day.
Many of you have said to me that you only want to help. Do you know that you help others around you every day? Your actions, may it be a financial offering, your time, or your mentorship, are noticed.
It is times like these that remind me why it is so important that we value each entity and individual member for the character and strength they bring to our table.
May we always put our community first and support each other.
